In Södertälje, AstraZeneca has one of the largest production sites for medicines in the world. This project started from a brown field site for AstraZeneca, Sweden.
Pfizer Biotech Plant, Sweden
Pfizers’s plant at Strangnas in Sweden manufactures complex biologics like growth hormones and anti-thrombotic agents. When the company needed to expand production into an adjacent 6000m2 site, Dornan was awarded the complete electrical and instrumentation installation contract.
Amgen, Dún Laoghaire, Dublin
Dornan was commissioned to fit out a new three-storey manufacturing facility to increase capacity, connected to the existing warehouse at Level 1.
BMS, Dublin
This was a greenfield project requiring the modification and extension of a facility to construct a state of the art biopharma unit.
Cork Institute of Technology
The Student Centre, Tourism & Catering Studies Building is part of the dramatically curved redevelopment of the Cork Institute of Technology’s North Campus. It’s on two floors, with six teaching kitchens, two production kitchens, a demonstration kitchen, a lecture theatre, computer laboratories, language laboratories, classrooms, staff accommodation and ancillary rooms. Dornan completed the mechanical services installation.
University College Hospital, London
Phase 5 of the UCLH Project was the development of a state-of-the-art facility to provide a leading centre of excellence for the diagnosis, treatment and care of ear, nose, throat, dental and oral diseases and head and neck cancers in both adults and children.
Cork University Maternity Hospital
When the University Hospital decided to amalgamate its various maternity services and relocate them into a single new facility, they chose Dornan to install all the soil and waste services.
BASF TDI, Germany
Building a new plant in Ludwigshafen in 2014 enabled BASF to expand its production capacity for Toluene Diisocyanate (a key component of flexible polyurethane foams) to up to 300,000 metric tonnes a year. Dornan undertook HVAC work for the new facility.
O’Rahilly Building, University College Cork
The Alfred O’Rahilly Building houses UCC’s Humanities Faculty on the University’s main campus. Dornan completed the electrical services installation work on the expansion of the building over two phases.
