Dornan Strava Hobbies & Fitness Club’s Charitable Kickstart to 2024

As the new year unfolds, Dornan’s Strava Hobbies & Fitness Club is not just setting fitness goals but also making strides in philanthropy. This club, designed to enhance employee well-being through physical activity, has seamlessly woven their monthly fitness challenges into a powerful commitment to charitable endeavours.

In the inaugural month of the year, the Dornan Strava Hobbies & Fitness Club directed their generosity to Chernobyl Children International (CCI). When selecting charities, the Strava Club conducts research to ensure their fitness journey aligns with a higher purpose, supporting causes that resonate with our corporate values.

Dornan’s donation contributes to CCI’s upcoming Cardiac Mission, scheduled for later this Spring in Ukraine. This mission holds the potential to provide crucial medical interventions for newborns and children affected by both the ongoing conflict and the long-standing repercussions of the Chernobyl disaster.

The donated funds play a role in CCI’s Paediatric Cardiac Surgery Programme, specifically targeting congenital heart defects, including the notorious ‘Chernobyl Heart.’ By participating in this initiative, Dornan’s Strava Club supports the vital role CCI provide in offering a lifeline to the most vulnerable victims impacted by the nuclear tragedy almost 3 decades after the fact.
