Dornan Launches New Mental Health Initiative

At Dornan, the wellbeing of our employees is a top priority. We understand the critical importance of mental health, which is why we have consistently partnered with leading wellbeing experts in the industry. Our latest initiative is a partnership with ‘The Elephant in the Room‘ movement, an organisation dedicated to igniting conversations about mental health.

By displaying the elephant sculpture at our Head Office in Little Island, Cork, we are making a clear statement: Dornan is a safe space for employees to discuss the ‘elephant in the room’. This aligns perfectly with our core values of creating a supportive, empowered, and people-focused environment.

Brent Pope’s Elephant in the Room project, aimed at raising awareness about mental health in the workplace, resonates deeply with our core values. Our elephant sculpture, named ‘Thea‘ after the Irish goddess of light, sun, and moon, symbolises Dornan’s commitment to always being there for our employees – through both their brightest and darkest days.

The handprints on ‘Thea’ are those of Dornan employees, symbolising collective support and involvement in this mental health initiative. We wanted to engage as many team members as possible, reinforcing the idea that Dornan is always ready to offer a helping hand.

Through this partnership, we aim to foster an environment where open conversations about mental health are encouraged and supported. Dornan’s dedication to employee well-being and mental health awareness is unwavering, and we are proud to take this significant step towards creating a more understanding and supportive workplace.
